A MEMBER of the European Parliament for the north west has reacted with anger at news that the UK can "cancel Brexit" without needing the agreement of the other 27 EU countries.
Following a ruling by the European Court of Justice, Paul Nuttall, a former UKIP MEP, said: “This is giving our Parliament the go-ahead to revoke Article 50 and if they seize on this opportunity it will be an act of betrayal beyond words."
He said held fears "it will lead to a rebellion on a scale not seen before.
Britain will leave the EU on March 29 2019.
