A WOMAN who sent 'constant' Facebook messages to another woman about her husband's extra-marital affair has been told not to contact the couple.
Lauren Williamson, of Duke Street, Askam, admitted harassment over a five month period between February 7 and July 7 2018 when she appeared as South Cumbria Magistrate Court.
She was given 200 hours unpaid work to be carried out in the next year. This work will be supervised by the responsible officer
Magistrates also handed Williamson a restraining order not to contact the couple, either directly or indirectly, until December 5 2020.
"It is necessary and proportionate to protect the victim and her partner from potential further acts of harassment," court documents say.
The 32-year-old was also told to pay £300 compensation, a £85 victim surcharge and £85 court costs - a total of £470.
