A BARROW man has been charged after he allegedly failed to pay when he filled up his car on four occasions.
Andrew David Atkins, of Roose Road, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with seven offences.
The 31-year-old is accused of making off without payment after filling up his car on May 16 in Barrow, May 19 in Ulverston, May 21 in Barrow and on May 24 in Ulverston.
He is also alleged, as the registered keeper of the vehicle, to have failed to provide the details of the the driver of a Nissan Qashqai on three occasions on July 10 of this year.
Atkins did not enter a plea when he made his first appearance in court.
His case was adjourned until Wednesday December 5 when he will be asked to enter a plea to the seven offences.
He was granted unconditional bail until that date.
