COPELAND Borough council have urged people to begin recycling the large amounts of cardboard left over from Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The council's kerbside recycling scheme introduced in April has made it easier to recycle cardboards, plastics and metals, by letting residents drop recycling on the kerb.
Copeland’s Community Services Manager, Janice Carrol, said: “If residents get gifts delivered to their houses it can create a lot of cardboard packaging, so we’re encouraging people to put it all in their white kerbside recycling bag.”
