ESCAPED: A call reported cows on two roads near Askam
CUMBRIA Police were called after cows were said to have escaped onto the A595 today.
A concerned Askam resident spotted cows on the roads near the village.
The resident claimed the cows had repeatedly escaped their field and ended up on the road leading towards Furness Brick & Tile Co Ltd and had on one occasion got onto the A595 at Askam.
Cumbria police said they will be meeting with the complainant to get further details on the incident before meeting with the farmer and assessing the field boundaries in the hope of finding a long-term solution to the issue.
