SUPERMARKET Tesco has shown it can take a joke after a shopper questioned how customers are supposed to use the in-store scales.

Ian Livesey posted a picture on Twitter over the weekend of the scales in the fruit and veg aisle at Tesco Extra in Barrow.

He wrote: "his is ridiculous, without providing steps how on earth do you expect customers to weigh themselves??? Come on. You’ve got to think these things through."

Proving they can have a laugh Tesco responded: "Hi Ian, maybe the store expects you to sit on them?"
