Rampside Women's Institute celebrated their 98th birthday as part of their monthly meeting for November.
Jan Berry was the guest speaker for the evening.
She talked about her career and how she went from working as a chef to becoming self employed, making and teaching sugar-craft as well as writing for magazines and judging competitions.
Chris Tyrell was presented with a certificate to celebrate her 50 years membership.
The next meeting will be on December 12 and will be a talk on “The Darker Side of Cumbria- Remembering Slavery”.
