BRAVE food lovers have put themselves forward to face the first ever Man vs Food event at Barrow’s popular grilled cheese stall.
Grilla Cheese will be running their first ever competition this Saturday at 3pm at stall 106 in Barrow Indoor Market and the competitors have already been chosen.
Owners Malcolm Lingard and Mandy Chubb have set contestants the challenge of eating 13 of Mandy’s fiendishly scorching chicken wings in just 13 minutes.
The prize is a £25 voucher to the Grilla Cheese and a picture adorned on their wall of fame.
Competitors so far include: John Tyerman, Isaac Moffat, Gareth J Davies, Tommy Bamford, Keith Maclean and Liam Rooke.
Owners have also said that they will be raising money for the hospice on the day so have asked people to bring some change for their fundraising tin.
