A BARROW supermarket has unveiled a new breakfast of champions - a full fry up in a bun.

Morrisons' on The Strand is serving up 'The Builders Big Breakfast Butty' – which weighs in at a hefty three quarters of a kilo and is a full four inches deep.

It consists of 10 items served in a one seven-inch bap.

The butty is packed with the cooked breakfast essentials including bacon, hash browns or potato scones, sausages, baked beans, mushrooms, egg and tomato.

According to Myfitnesspal.com the epic sandwich would be the equivalent of around 1,400 calories. The recommeded daily intake for a man is 2,500 calories and 2,000 for a woman.

The supermarket’s new breakfastcreation costs just £5.

Morrisons Café team said they had searched far and wide to find a big enough bap to hold the 10-item breakfast to give customers the option of eating on the go.

Roger Taylor, who works in Morrisons Cafe, said: “Customers were telling us that they didn’t always have the time to have breakfast in the café so we set about creating an on-the-go version. It’s the biggest butty we’ve ever made and not for the faint-hearted.”

The Builders Big Breakfast Butty also comes in a vegetarian version.
