POLICE: An investigation is underway
OFFICERS investigating an alleged assault by a cyclist on a 59-year-old visitor to Ambleside are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police say the visitor sustained a head injury in the alleged incident which happened near to the Tourist Information Centre on Rydal Road at around 9.45am yesterday.
Witnesses to the assault are being urged to come forward and officers would like the cyclist to make contact with the police.
Anyone with information or potential witnesses should contact police quoting log 71 of September 27.
