SENIOR positions within Cumbria County Council are set to be filled at a crucial meeting this week.
The authority is to be led by a Labour and Liberal Democrat coalition for the next four years following the local elections on May 4.
Labour's Councillor Stewart Young is expected to be returned as CCC leader at the annual general meeting at County Hall in Kendal on Thursday.
A deputy leader of the council, chairman and vice chairman will also be appointed along with members of the cabinet committee.
The meeting was scheduled to take place in May but was postponed until after the general election on June 8.
