THE famous prom of a South Lakes town will be awash with colour when a popular festival returns for the bank holiday weekend.

Prom Art is set to attract crowds to Grange on Sunday - with the event given a boost through a partnership with Europe’s largest market operator, Groupe Geraud.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a walk along the Victorian sea front while enjoying performances from buskers.

Prom Art 2017 will boast up to 60 exhibitors, with art ranging from paintings, handmade jewellery, photography and glasswork, as well as many other crafts. Visitors will have endless pieces to admire and purchase.

All exhibitors must produce their own work, so each stall brings with it a piece of the artist’s personality and originality.

The market has run on the last Sunday of each month since May, from 10am- 4pm.

Philip Lamb, managing director of Geraud UK, said: “We’re delighted to be involved in this year’s Prom Art. The exhibition has been in production for 12 years and Groupe Geraud looks forward to bringing our expertise to what is already a fun and cultural day.

“We look forward to running a successful outdoor event in the beautiful setting of Morecambe Bay.”
