A CAMPAIGN to crack down on litter has been launched.
Askam and Ireleth Parish Council has launched Dump the Junk in an effort to stop waste being left on the village's streets.
The village's Women's Institute and Ireleth St Peters School have put up anti-litter posters advising people to put their rubbish in the bin.
It comes as a new street cleaner, Clayton Noble, borrowed from Dalton, starts work in the area for one day a week.
