THE adventures of a young Millom boy whose heartwarming Christmas video went viral, will be documented on a new Facebook page dedicated to raising awareness of autism spectrum disorder.

Jesse Evans became a web sensation after his parents, Stephen and Bettina Evans, captured the magical moment he joined in a brass band's rendition of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at Middlebrook shopping centre in Horwich.

The five-year-old who normally struggles with busy spaces and crowds, was seen smiling from ear to ear seemingly oblivious to the attention he was attracting.

Mr Evans, 39, said: "We've been getting a lot of messages from people saying things like 'what a lovely little boy' and 'what a lovely moment' but we get lots of little moments like that so we thought we would share them and show the positive side of autism.

"That's what all parents with autistic children want to do, raise awareness.

"No two autistic children are the same and Jesse changes every few months.

"It's a constant adjustment for us and we are learning to understand it more and more."

The St James' Catholic Primary School pupil will first major adventure will be documented after Christmas, when he travels to his mum's native Argentina to visit family.

Mr Evans added: "It's good letting people have a window into what life is like.

"We had someone comment on his video saying 'what's the big deal, all he's doing is shaking a bell'. I had to comment and tell him it's the fact that we normally can't take him in to a shopping centre, so seeing that was amazing.
