FIREFIGHTERS used a hose reel jet to put out a grill pan on fire in Barrow tonight.
Crews from Barrow and Walney were called to School Street at 6.11pm after reports of a cooker fire in a kitchen.
Two firefighters using breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet extinguished the blaze.

The fire caused a large amount of smoke damage to the kitchen.
All occupants of the property were safely outside the house by the time the fire crews arrived.
