A 37-YEAR-OLD Barrow man is set to stand trial accused of assaulting the same woman twice in just over a month.
Steven Thomas Arthur Smith, of Cragg Street, Barrow, has denied assaulting Joanne Lockley on two separate occasions on April 16 and May 17.
These pleas were entered on October 6 at Furness Magistrates' Court and he will stand trial for both offences tomorrow at the same location.
As a pre-hearing condition, the defendant has been ordered by the court to not make direct or indirect contact with Joanne Lockley or Daniel Smith.
