A RESTRAINING order has been taken out against a man who harassed a woman through Facebook.
Stephen Albert Grydziuszko, 56, of Thrums Street, Barrow, today (6) pleaded guilty to harassment without violence after sending malicious messages to a woman between August 8 and 15.
The defendant set up a fake account under the name 'Chris Potts' to target the victim.
Mr Peter Kelly, prosecuting, told Furness Magistrates' Court the messages left her suffering from "sleeplessness and fear."
He was sentenced to carry out 100 hours of community service and issued with a two-year restraining order against the victim.
He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs of £85.
