AN 83-year-old man who was hit by a car in south Cumbria on Tuesday has died in hospital.
Police attended a collision on the A6 at Levens Hall, Levens, on Tuesday December 6 at 8:40pm after an elderly man was hit by a white Kia Picanto.
The man, who is from Kendal, was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary where he died on Friday December 9.
A 54-year-old man who was driving the Kia Picanto was unhurt in the collision and is helping police with their enquiries.
The A6 was closed for some time while forensic collision investigation work was carried out.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC 1567 Jackson or Sergeant 1929 Bainbridge.
