A Kirkby couple have tied the knot after their meeting at a local music festival led to a romantic sunset proposal.
Lisa Harris, a 35-year-old primary school teacher who is originally from Walney, married Adam Warrener, a 32-year-old farmer who originally hails from Grizebeck, in a beautiful summer wedding on Thursday July 21, 2016.
How they met: The couple were introduced by mutual friends during a music festival called Grizefest at the Greyhound Pub, Grizebeck.
Proposal: Adam got down on one knee and popped the question during a spectacular evening sunset atop a dramatic cliff in Cyprus in July 2015. Lisa said yes and the couple walked hand in hand looking out over the sea and taking in the stunning view, enjoyed a bottle of fizz together watched the sun set.
Venue: St Mary's Parish Church, Walney.
Theme: A pastel colour palette.
Bride's Outfit: A Pronovias wedding gown, from Marrime Bridalwear, Kendal.
Groomsmen: Alex Millar (best man), Paul Harris and Matthew Daly (bride's brothers).
Bridesmaids: Lisa Harris (sister-in-law) and Emily Crawford.
Flower girls: The couple's daughter Jessica Warrener and their niece Esmae Harris.
Flowers: Efflorescence Ltd, Barrow.
Transport: The couple were chauffeured by a friend in his Mercedes.
Reception: Abbey House Hotel, Barrow.
Table settings: Silver candelabras and pastel flowers on each table.
Favours: Jars of sweets.
Cake: A three-tier confection by Jo’s Cakes, it was ivory with pastel flowers and bunting. There was a chocolate bottom tier, lemon middle tier and carrot cake top tier.
First Dance: Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud.
Entertainment: The couple hired singer Ebony Grace Thompson to entertain the guests with an acoustic set on her guitar during the day and early evening and Abbey House Hotel provided a DJ to keep the music going until the early hours.
Honeymoon: The couple spent 10 nights in Tenerife, jetting off the morning after the wedding.
