With last weekend's scorching temperatures continuing today it might be time to think about refreshing the summer wardrobe for 2016.

Although the mid-week forecast looks a little more dreary, there is already more sun forecast for the coming weekend with temperatures again set to soar in to the twenties.

So just what is hot on the catwalks for Summer 2016? We all need outfits that are versatile for sunbathing, barbecues, beer gardens and race days so we caught up with Ulverston boutique manager Andrea Murray, of Jute on King Street to find out what is hot this season. She said: "I have noticed a real surge in the number of little playsuits again this season. Also shorts have really come back around, we try and keep them classy and not too short in the shop but the trends are definitely for above the knee."

The biggest trend for summer however seems to be something very lady-like and Andrea has the top tips on which brands are selling best in South Cumbria at the moment. She said: "The 'It' dress for the races and summer parties this years is a 1950-60s style vintage printed dress. We have had some beautiful ones from brands like Emily and Fin, Darling London and The Pretty Dress Company. The prints are beautiful we have willow prints, seaside prints and strong colour such as limes and oranges and jade greens.

"They are really beautiful, some a fitted and some a floaty but all are lady-like."
