Barrow lovebirds Jamie Greenway, a fire and rescue team member in the shipyard, and Grace Fallon, a staff member at Booths, were married on Saturday 7 May 2016 in a Lake District themed wedding.

How they met: The couple attended Park View School together and started going out in their last year.

Venue: Holbeck Ghyll Country House Hotel, Windermere.

Proposal: Many moons ago, Grace was a collector of me to you bears and so Jamie bought one of the ornaments that was one tatty teddy proposing to the other. He hoped that the bears would do most of the work, but Grace was a little overwhelmed and so Jamie got down on one knee anyway.

Bride's Outfit: A dress from Eternity by Nina in Barrow.

Flowers: Amazing arrangements by POSH Flowers on Rawlinson Street in Barrow.

Videographer: The couple didn't hire a professional videographer but the mother of the bride's partner, Anthony Holden, made a good video of all the important bits from Holbeck Ghyll.

Table Settings: All named after lake district authors such as Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth and Alfred Wainwright.

Favours: Grasmere Gingerbread for the adults and name places made of chocolate with Peter Rabbit characters for the children.

Reception: Extended family all met at Chequers in Dalton, as the ceremony at Holbeck Ghyll was a small, intimate family gathering. The table settings for the evening meal consisted of lakeland fells, snippets of Wainwright quotes and table decorations made of copied Wainwright sketches from his books.

Entertainment: The in-house DJ at Chequers and a fantastic Magician named Simon Dickinson who wowed guests at their tables. A photo booth from Funtastic Photo Booths was also a hit with guests and the guest book, made by The Twig Pen People, was filled with messages and photos.

Transport: The bride and groom took a beautiful Bentley from the hotel which was provided by John Wilson and guests traveled on Getaway Travel minibuses.

Cake: A three tiered, multi-flavoured cake was made by The Mixing Bowl Cakery, Barrow. It was delicately decorated with edible roses and lace and topped with Lego.

First Dance: Ellie Goulding - How long will I love you.

Flower girls and page boys: The children of the family played an important role as flower girls and page boys, led by Alfie Greenway and Eden Greenway, the couples children.
