ROOSE Pioneers host Barrow Island in the Furness Tile and Flooring Barrow and District League tonight with a six-point lead at the top.

Pioneers opened up the gap after thrashing Millom 66-6 last weekend.

Island go into the game tonight having had a weekend off, after Walney failed to raise a side, handing them the points.

Third-placed Askam are at home to bottom-of-the-league Ulverston, and an Askam win will keep them in the top four.

Dalton host Millom knowing victory will keep them in second, while at the lower end of the league, sixth-placed Walney are at home to seventh-placed Hindpool.

While the title looks to be going to Roose, it is all to play for in the race for second, third and fourth, with Askam's game in hand on Dalton set to be a key factor.

The Harry Warman Cup final will take place on Thursday, August 2, at Craven Park, with a 7pm kick-off.

The draw has been made for CJS Knockout Cup, with ties as follows: Millom v Barrow Island, Roose Pioneers v Ulverston, Askam v Dalton, Hindpool v Walney.
