Fifth place went to Ruth Coleby, Isobel Williams and Linda Young, from Penrith, scoring 67.6, while Carlisle’s Lesley Aitken, Diane Bell and Ann Cameron-McIntosh won the Visitor Prize with a score of 68.

Each of the winning players received a voucher from Ulverston Golf Club Pro Shop.

Lady captain Liz Marr-Smith thanked the green-keepers for their tireless work ensuring the best possible conditions, the catering and bar staff for the excellent food and drink, and lady member Maureen McArthur for helping to organise the event.
