SUE Stevenson stopped the whitewash for Kirkby as they fell to a 10-1 defeat against Biggar Bank in the Furness Ladies Evening Bowling League.

Sue Batte, Sheila Burns and Anita Wright were among the Biggar Bank victors.

Good wins from Vanessa Shepherd and Karen Whitehouse helped Dalton claim the aggregate against Roose.

Junior Holly McPake took her game for Lindal in their 8-3 triumph over Askam, while North Scale also won 8-3, against West Mount.

Hawcoat Park took all the games at home to Red River and the top-four for the Co-op all triumphed at King Alfred, but the team went down7-4.
