FURNESS wind up their Dennis Mowers Federation of Crown Green Bowls Division Five campaign on Sunday, knowing victory over Warrington will have them in a good position to finish as champions.

After losing their opening match 19-13 to South Lakes, Furness have responded by beating Airedale B 26-6, then Fylde B 25-7 to lead the division.

Second-placed Warrington beat Fylde B 24-8 before losing 17-15 to South Lakes.

A healthy triumph this weekend will have Furness sitting pretty.

The home leg takes place at the Lindal Bowling Club and admission is free. Anyone is welcome to come along and support the Furness team. The away leg is at Woolston Bowling Club.

The match starts at 2pm, with the home team practising from 1.15pm until 1.30pm.

Anyone unable to play should phone Steve Fullard on 07947 232016 or Ken Howarth on 07748 827311.
