ULVERSTON Cons, Hawcoat Park and Dalton all had good wins in the Furness Women's Bowling League.

Ann France showed excellent form, triumphing 21-1 for Hawcoat, while Kath Fitzsimmons had a good result at Askam for Roose and Marian Woods bowled well for the Co-op against Dalton.

In Division Two, Val Willis and Katie Wright had a real battle in their game, with Willis taking it 21-20 as West Mount went on to win the match.

Walney Park won their game well at home, with Pam Bain and Sandra Jeffries having single-figure victories.
