BARROW boss David Dunn believes it’s only a matter of time until his side go on a winning streak.

The Bluebirds were sucker-punched by a last-gasp Nicky Cadden free kick as they were forced to settle for a point against Forest Green Rovers at Holker Street.

Dunn’s charges have won just two league games so far this season. And he said: “It’s frustrating because we find ourselves on 13 points now and we should have at least 20, maybe more.

“I believe we will start winning games and we’ll pick up more points. Once we start killing those games off we’ll be more than fine.

“The main thing for us is I think the performance was very good. I believe in the players. You can see how well we’re playing.

“We get so many compliments from other people in football and how we play.

“But that doesn’t really count for anything if you’re not picking those wins up.

“It’s a tough league, it’s a step up from where the club was last year. I’ve not seen anything in this league that worries me.”

“We just need to see games out a little bit better than what we’ve done. Last week it was the other way where we got the equaliser right at the end and unfortunately it’s happened to us this week.”

Despite the disappointment of conceding a late equaliser, Dunn was delighted with his side’s performance.

“The way we played was really good,” stressed Dunn.

“The way Luke James and Harrison Biggins played against a team who will be up there because they’re a great side was very good.

“I was really pleased with our build up. I was really pleased with how we played today.

“I didn’t really want to take Quigs [Scott Quigley] off but the shape was working so I decided to go like-for-like.

“And to be honest it worked because we got the goal to go 2-1 up.

“I’m sat here and I’m really disappointed that we haven’t got three points.

“I thought we should have had three points no doubts about it.”

The Bluebirds are tough to beat which their seven league draws attests.

And despite being Football League new boys, they have not been hammered, with all their defeats coming to a single goal.
