BARROW AFC head coach Stephen Clemence says his side will have to stand up to a physical challenge at Hayes Lane today.
The Bluebirds face a long trip south to take on Bromley FC in League Two (Kick-Off 3pm).
The hosts go into the buoyed by an away victory over Doncaster Rovers, and Clemence expects them to try to get about his team.
He said: “They had a good win on Tuesday, which will give them a lift.
“They’ve drew a few games recently in the league, I think they have only lost once in the last five games.
“They’ve got some good players. Obviously, Andy Woodman (Bromley boss) did really well last year getting them promoted through the play-offs.
“They are quite a big physical team as well, so we have to be ready for that, and try to stand up to that challenge, but they’ve also got some quality too.
“I’m expecting a very difficult away game, and we are going to have to be at our best if we are going to get anything.”
While Bromley will be looking to build on their midweek win, Clemence wants his side to build on their 1-1 draw at home to Notts County in midweek.
Barrow had led through Rory Feely’s seventh-minute strike at Holker Street, but were denied all three points when David McGoldrick scored a penalty in time added on at the end of the 90 minutes.
Despite the late leveller denying his side the win, Clemence took the positives from how his side performed against County.
He said: “I was really pleased with the performance (against County). I thought the first half we played ever so well, probably the best we’ve played for a few weeks.
“So yeah, I was really, really happy with them at half-time. Second half was a different kind of performance.
“They adjusted things a little bit tactically. They’ve got good players, they’ve got two or three players that would probably get into most teams in League Two.
“They pushed us back, but I thought the boys really stood up to it.
“They didn’t create loads of chances, I think Wyll had to make one double save, but apart from that I can’t remember anything too clear cut, and we defended really well.
“Unfortunately, we just didn’t hang on at the end, but I was really happy with the boys and I’m now looking forward to today’s game and hopefully we can take that performance into the game against Bromley.”
