RYAN Shaw stepped up to deliver as he helped Barrow Raiders secure an excellent 24-24 draw with Bradford Bulls.
Earlier in the game, the Raiders man didn’t have the best of luck in front of goal as a few chances went begging as he battled with the elements.
But when it mattered Shaw completed the scoring in a second-half fight back which saw Raiders claim a share of the spoils.
Max Clarke had intercepted to touch down, leaving Shaw with a difficult conversion attempt from out wide.
But the Raiders man felt the pressure helped him.
Speaking to the club’s Facebook Page, he said: “I think I’m better under pressure like that. I was bit off the first half, but it was a bit windy, so I’ll blame that.
“We were actually discussing this at half-time. We reckon that this is one of, well actually the toughest stadium to kick at, it’s definitely up there.”
Despite the wind coming in off the Walney Channel, Shaw’s nerves were steady and his kick true to earn the draw.
