Barrow AFC have been handed a trip to either Ipswich Town or Oldham Athletic in the second round of the FA Cup.

The Bluebirds were given a second successive away tie in the competition after their 4-0 first-round win at Banbury United.

They must wait until next week to find out their second round opponents with League One side Ipswich and League Two strugglers Oldham set for a replay at Boundary Park.

They drew 1-1 at Portman Road in their first round encounter on Saturday.

Barrow were the third-last side out of the hat in Monday night's draw conducted at Wembley.

Another long trip awaits Mark Cooper's side and Bluebirds fans if Paul Cook's Tractor Boys see off Oldham at the second attempt.

A much shorter journey, though, will face AFC should Keith Curle's Latics pull off an upset on home soil next Tuesday.

The Suffolk side led through Wes Burns on Saturday before Davis Keillor-Dunn levelled for Oldham, Dylan Bahamboula then seeing a penalty saved for the fourth-tier side.

If Ipswich make it through it will be a first competitive meeting with the Bluebirds.

A trip to Oldham, meanwhile, would see a return to the ground where Cooper's side enjoyed their best win of the current league season so far - a 3-0 victory on September 4.

The second round tie will be played on the weekend of December 3-6.

There will be prize money of £34,000 up for grabs for the winners of second-round ties.
