Brad Barry has joined Stevenage shortly after confirming his Barrow AFC departure.
The wing-back has agreed terms with the Bluebirds’ first opponents of the new League Two season.
The 26-year-old moved on from Holker Street after two seasons.
And the ex-Chesterfield and Swindon man has now headed south to join Alex Revell’s Boro.
“Stevenage are a great club, and that is why I am here”, said Barry.
“I have spoken to the manager, and I like the way he wants to play.
“I played against Stevenage last season, and the way they played in the second half of the campaign suited me completely.”
On the 2021/22 curtain-raiser against his former club, Barry added: “I knew that was going to happen. I am here and Stevenage now and I want to win football games. I will always have a soft spot for Barrow but now my love is Stevenage.
“We want to win games and entertain the fans”.
