BARROW Raiders star man Tee Ritson has spoken of his aspirations of gaining promotion this season following his new three-year deal with the club.

Winger Tee Ritson was overjoyed at the prospect of three more years at the club and explained how important it is to him to have such a vital role in the club's community programme.

The 25-year-old puts on boxercise classes and runs Raider Braves for children alongside teammate Callum Bustin.

"I am here to keep winning games for the rest of the season now," he said.

"I am humbled to have the opportunity to prove myself and that they want me to be part of their plans for the future.

"I love being part of the community work as well.

"It feels really good to be part of something like this and it is really rewarding as well.

"We have seen kids coming down to the sessions and loving it then coming to the games at the stadium and really enjoying that.

"I always try to interact with the families and supporters when I am out there and seeing them out there as part of that is really good to see.

"In terms of the season we all have our eyes on the same goal, to win matches, and everyone is willing to help one another to achieve that."

He thanked chairman Steve Neale and director of rugby Andy Gaffney for all their work they do for the club and in getting his new deal sorted.

Raiders remain on track for winning the league despite having their winning streak stopped at the weekend in a 24-24 draw against Workington Town.
