BARROW Raiders are delighted to announce that League 1 top try scorer Tee Ritson has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

Ritson, 25, has been in sparkling form scoring 10 tries in the opening seven games of the season and the Raiders have moved fast to secure his services until the end of the 2024 season.

On the new deal, the winger said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have signed a three-year extension at Barrow Raiders. I really feel like this club is going places, and I’m humbled that the club want to include me on their journey.

“From day one this club and the town in general have welcomed me with open arms, and I’m looking forward to returning my gratitude on the pitch and within the community.”

Director of rugby Andy Gaffney was excited to see their star player sign for three more years.

"There is no doubt that he can play at the top level," he said. "We have had him for three years here already and I believe he can do great things for the club for another three years.

"He works with our community team and epitomises what Barrow Raiders is all about with his contributions.

"He does Raider Braves and fitness classes like boxercise for us, and this is just something we want to continue and grow as a club."

Ritson is a vital member of the Advantage! Barrow Raiders Community Foundation team alongside teammate Callum Bustin.

The man who wears the number two jersey is hopeful for the rest of the season and is keen to clinch the league title this year.
