Barrow AFC boss Mark Cooper has swooped to make Joe Grayson his SEVENTH summer signing.

The former Blackburn midfielder has joined the Bluebirds on a two-year deal as the recruitment drive under new manager Cooper continues apace.

Grayson has arrived at Holker Street after being released by the Ewood Park club after a long spell with the east Lancashire outfit.

The versatile 22-year-old, who can operate in defence or midfield, has EFL experience through loan spells with Grimsby and Oxford.

The son of Fleetwood Town manager Simon Grayson, he made two appearances for his parent club, while he picked up six outings for League One high-fliers Oxford in the 2020/21 campaign.

Grayson follows a host of fellow new faces into the Progression Solicitors Stadium ahead of the squad’s return for pre-season training.

His move follows deals for Paul Farman, Offrande Zanzala, Tom White, Josh Gordon, Remeao Hutton and Mark Ellis.

Defender Kgosi Ntlhe, meanwhile, has signed a new one-year deal.
