Defender Mark Ellis has become Barrow AFC’s sixth summer signing.
The experienced centre-half has signed a two-year deal at Holker Street after leaving Tranmere Rovers.
Ellis spent the latter stages of the 2020/21 season on loan with Notts County, becomes the latest new recruit under boss Mark Cooper.
The 32-year-old former Carlisle United player follows Paul Farman, Offrande Zanzala, Tom White, Josh Gordon and Remeao Hutton into the Progression Solicitors Stadium.
Ellis has hundreds of games to his name and has experienced promotion from League Two with previous clubs.
The move also sees him reunited with Cooper, whose Forest Green side Ellis helped to National League promotion during a past loan spell.
The no-nonsense defender made 30 appearances for Tranmere and Notts last season, scoring six goals for the Magpies as they reached the National League play-off semi-finals.
Before his time with Carlisle, the Devon-born player had previous spells with Bolton, Torquay, Crewe and Shrewsbury.
