BARROW AFC’s manager has thanked fans for their backing as more than 800 fans snapped up their season tickets for 2021/22 in just two weeks of sales.

The club has put in place deals for supporters who renew and there is also now a professional new finance option available to allow people to spread the cost of their season tickets.

At the close of business on Friday, 815 fans had bought their season tickets for the new campaign and Mark Cooper says he hopes his business in the transfer market can help to keep sales increasing.

The new boss has already drafted in three impressive new recruits in the shape of Paul Farman, Tom White and Offrande Zanzala, but he’s also working on more deals to keep fans excited through the summer.

“I think the signings have an effect on season ticket sales,” he said.

“If the fans can see we’re making positive strides and trying to put a competitive team together then hopefully they will invest in season tickets and want to come and watch the games.

“The better we do with the recruitment, the better the season ticket sales will be but it’s very encouraging to see the numbers so far and hopefully that keeps on rising.”

Season tickets for 2021/22 are now on sale, with deals available to supporters.

Anyone renewing for 2021/22 will receive 20 per cent off their tickets.

That means, with the discount applied, existing adult season ticket holders will pay the equivalent of £13 per game to sit next term.
