ANOTHER friendly has been added to Barrow AFC's pre-season schedule.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that The Bluebirds will be making a trip to Spennymoor Town in July.

New Barrow boss Mark Cooper and his side will make the trip to County Durham on Saturday 17th July (1pm kick-off) as part of their preparations for the new League Two campaign, which starts in August.

The National League North outfit are now under the watch of former Ipswich Town and Sunderland midfielder Tommy Miller, who was appointed as permanent boss of Moors in April.

Barrow’s visit to The Brewery Field is the fifth confirmed pre-season friendly, following news of trips to Holker Old Boys, Lancaster City and Southport as well as a home date with Bolton Wanderers.

With intensive work being carried out on The Progression Solicitors Stadium for much of the summer, the Club has attempted to arrange local away friendlies to allow as many supporters as possible to follow the action.

Barrow's pre-season fixtures:

Saturday 10 July: Holker Old Boys (a), 1pm.

Tuesday 13 July: Lancaster City (a), 7pm.

Saturday 17 July: Spennymoor Town (a), 1pm.

Saturday 24 July: Bolton Wanderers (h), 3pm.
