DETAILS of the first three friendlies to be included in Barrow AFC’s pre-season schedule have been announced.

The trio of away games are the first entries into the Bluebirds’ 2021-22 calendar.

After steering clear of relegation in their first season after being promoted from the National League, the team will be hoping to move up the table during the next campaign.

They will begin their warm-up for the new League Two season by playing Holker Old Boys at Rakesmoor Lane, Barrow, on Saturday, July 10, with kick-off at 1pm.

They will then travel to play Lancaster City on Tuesday, July 13 at 7pm.

They are then scheduled to play a match away at Southport on July 31, with a 3pm kick-off.

A spokesman for the club said: “We will share details of other pre-season friendlies as soon as they are confirmed.”

Barrow are currently sifting through early contenders for the manager’s role after Rob Kelly informed the club he did not want to continue at the helm.
