A frozen pitch at Holker Street has cancelled Barrow’s League Two fixture against Exeter City.
Following another pitch inspection by the match referee Ross Joyce, this evening’s game has now been postponed.
Ground staff and volunteers had worked on Monday to cover the pitch and sourced heaters to ensure the pitch remained playable ahead of The Grecians’ visit.
Despite this, referee Joyce has now called off the game, with concerns raised about the safety of some parts of the playing surface.
A new date will now have to be agreed for the rearranged fixture.
