Barrow's Liam Livingstone hit 32 runs and took one wicket as his Perth Scorchers fell to a BBL defeat yesterday.

The Scorchers faced Brisbane Heat at the Adelaide Oval and were set a target of 182 runs to win, thanks to solid batting performances from opener Chris Lynn and player of the match Marnus Labuschagne.

Lynn was in good form against the Scorchers, and eventually went out in the eight over from a Livingstone delivery, after hitting it leg side into the hands of Aaron Hardie.

As the Scorchers' batting line-up set out to chase 182, Livingstone opened the batting yet again with Jason Roy.

The two Englishmen racked up a 53-run partnership before Livingstone was cleanly bowled by Mitchell Swepson at the start of the seventh over.

Off 22 balls, Livingstone hit two sixes and three fours on his way to 32, finishing with a strike rate of 145.45.

The Scorchers eventually finished on 175 runs off the 20 overs.
