Teenage top-flight defender Bobby Thomas has become Barrow AFC’s SIXTH new signing in the space of a week.
The 19-year-old Burnley defender joined the Bluebirds as boss Michael Jolley continues his overhaul of the squad.
Promising Thomas, who has made one first-team appearance for the Clarets this season, has signed on loan until the end of the season.
Barrow are understood to have beaten competition to land the centre-half.
The Chester-born player is the latest new addition in a busy period of recruitment at the Progression Solicitors Stadium, after the recent captures of Neal Eardley, Dan Bramall, Tom Davies, Ollie Banks and Jamie Devitt.
Thomas has been a regular for Burnley’s Under-23 side, having been on the books at Turf Moor since the summer of 2017, joining on a two-year scholarship after time with Everton and Crewe.
It is a second spell in south Cumbria for Thomas, who had a loan stint at Kendal Town two seasons ago.
He got a senior outing in Sean Dyche’s top-flight side when they beat Millwall 2-0 in the Carabao Cup in September.
