Barrow AFC will play today’s game against Southend United in the club’s new third kit.

This will be the first time that Michael Jolley’s men will be wearing the strip during their League Two meeting at Roots Hall.

Made by kit providers, Joma, The Bluebirds team will be wearing white shirts and shorts alongside blue socks, which have a white trim.

The club is expecting to make a limited number of the new shirts available for sale to supporters next week.

Supporters are now being reminded to keep an eye on Barrow’s official website for more details on buying the club’s third shirt.

Today’s game will be new boss Jolley’s second in the Barrow dugout following a 1-1 draw in his first match at home to Tranmere Rovers.

Only four points separate Barrow, in 21st position, and Southend, who sit at the foot of League Two in 24th with 16 points.

Jolley was boosted this week after the club revealed there were no positive Covid-19 tests amongst the squad.

He reacted: “There’s not a lot to smile about for a lot of people at the moment so it’s really important that we represent Barrow in the right way.

“If the Football Club can be a positive story at the minute then that’s fantastic and that’s certainly what we’ll be aiming for.”
