Barrow Raiders chairman Steve Neale hopes that the club's fans can return to Craven Park for their long awaited return.
The Rugby Football League confirmed last week that the League 1 side's campaign will start on the weekend of March 6 with a first round Challenge Cup tie.
With the league campaign also set to start on the weekend of March 26, Neale is eager to welcome fans back.
He said: “It remains to be seen if we can have crowds, but were currently in Tier 2 and that’s good news in terms of having a restricted crowd.
“We will have to work with the council over the next few weeks to make sure that the ground is safe.
“We can learn a lot of lessons from Barrow AFC in that respect in their risk assessment and what they’ve needed to do to get fans back in.
"They have put the crowd at different segments and have a certain amount at different parts of the ground and that is something that we can definitely
repeat.
“We are still going to have put the hard work in in terms of having documentation together to make sure we have things like electronic ticketing for
example.
“But were fully prepared for those sort of things and hope we can get permission from the council."
Raiders fans last saw their side play in a 50-6 win against Coventry Bears on March 8.
