David Dunn felt Barrow AFC were vindicated with the decision to overturn Sam Hird’s red card at Morecambe.
The defender is free to face Salford tomorrow after the Football Association upheld a Bluebirds appeal.
Hird was dismissed after 15 minutes at the Mazuma Stadium after being adjudged to have denied a goalscoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball.
Barrow, though, felt Hird had been fouled at the start of the incident.
Manager Dunn said: “Sam’s actually in front of the attacker when we feel the foul’s committed, and the handball’s committed after he’s been pushed.
“I felt the linesman could have helped - he could see more of it - but he just said he handballed it, not the fact he’s been pushed.
“I thought it was really harsh.”
The decision to rescind the red card, issued by ref Thomas Bramall, leaves experienced Hird available to face big-spending Salford.
