Manchester United player Marcus Rashford has reacted to a young Barrow fan’s campaign.
The footballer praised eight-year-old Joshua Hewson after the youngster launched ‘Barrow United’.
Rashford posted on his Twitter account: “Well done Joshua, good man.”
Joshua himself was inspired by Mr Rashford’s campaigning for the nation’s Foodbanks.
In response to this, Joshua set up his own campaign.
Called Barrow United, Joshua has called on the area’s schools to donate items for Barrow Foodbank.
Christmas hampers will then be delivered to families during the festive period.
Already, ten Barrow schools have signed up to Barrow United.
