Bluebirds boss David Dunn today raided his former club Birmingham to bring promising attacker Jayden Reid to Holker Street.
The 19-year-old signed for Barrow on a loan deal until the start of January.
He is not expected to be involved against Harrogate tomorrow, with AFC saying Reid is set to link up with Dunn’s squad on Monday.
His arrival, though, boosts Dunn’s attacking options as the EFL new boys bid to climb League Two.
Birmingham boss Aitor Karanka was keen for the teenager to gain some first-team experience.
Reid made four appearances last season but Karanka has sent him out on loan after bringing in three frontmen in the summer window.
Reid, who was previously on the books of Manchester United, was the only deadline-day arrival at the Progression Solicitors Stadium.
