Hollywood star Eric Bana is bringing a film of Mike Hailwood`s incredible TT comeback after an 11 year break, to the big screen.
The filming which has been held up due to the Covid outbreak will focus mainly on the 1978 Formula 1 TT race which Mike won on a Ducati and not on his brilliant racing career.
He returned the following year to win the Senior race too on a Suzuki. His widow Pauline fully endorsed the project but sadly won`t get to see it, having passed away in June.
Proud to have been in that race running just outside the top ten on Eddie Crooks 750 Suzuki until a battery plate fractured. It did however give me the opportunity to witness the great man in action on the Ducati. Being one of his biggest fans I`ll be on the front row when it does come out.
