More staff are set to be taken on at Holker Street as work behind the scenes is continuing to make sure Barrow AFC are ready for the return of the Football League.

The Bluebirds will host Stevenage at home in their first EFL game for 48 years, on September 12.

Work is still going on behind the scenes to get areas of the ground prepared, such as the club's new fan zone.

It is then anticipated fans will be able to return to the ground in October, in some capacity.

The club is on the look out for people to fill a host of casual vacancies, including stewards, catering assistants, retail staff, bar team members and turnstile operators.

Chief executive Levi Gill said: "Things are still going on behind the scenes to get things ready for life back in the Football League.

"We've had a to make a number of changes. I have come in myself, we now have a full time media person for the first time, we've made other staff members full time, and then we are taking on casual members of staff."

Elsewhere, the club has put season tickets back on sale after a temporary suspension over the bank holiday weekend due to demand.

Tickets in the Brian Arrowsmith Main Stand are sold out, but around 400 terrace tickets remain available. And the club's Cross Bar, which is showing the live Derby game on Saturday, is now sold out.
