Barrow Raiders' season ticket holders who have asked for a refund on their season ticket due to the upheaval caused by the pandemic are now able to claim back 90 per cent.

Like all sports, Rugby League has been hit by delayed and cancelled fixtures due to the Covid-19 crisis, meaning clubs have had to put systems in place to refund tickets for missed games.

Many of the club's season ticket holders have pledged not to seek a refund, however those who want a refund can now claim 90 per cent back.

A statement on the club's website this week said: "We would like to thank all those season ticket holders who have already pledged not to seek a refund. If you could confirm this by sending an email to admin@barrowrlfc.com then the club will be able to turn your season ticket purchase in to a donation and reclaim the VAT. All monies from this VAT reclaim we promise to add to the 1875 club fund for team building.

"To those season ticket holders that do not seek a refund we ask that you hold on to your tickets and we will grant free entry if the 125-cup takes place.

However we are now able to offer 90% refunds to those who require one. We would like to offer £135 for adults and £90 for concessions."

Those who have asked for a refund can claim it by taking their tickets to the Lewthwaite Suite on any weekday morning from 9am to noon, or it can be done by post.

Alternatively people can post their season tickets with bank details to Craven Park, Duke Steet, Barrow-in-Furness LA14 1XP. A cash alternative can be offered if you give us enough notice of arrival.
