RUGBY league fans will be able to watch classic games during lockdown thanks to a new YouTube channel.

The British Amateur Rugby League Association (BARLA) will launch the channel this Saturday, May, 23m at 2.30pm.

The highlight of the launch will be the 2015 BARLA National Cup Final featuring a Cumbria vs Yorkshire final when Egremont Rangers played Sharlston Rovers.

The channel will be adding weekly games to its content showing full BARLA National Cup Finals at open age and youth junior age groups as well as other county cup finals at those ages, internationals, county games, women’s games and highlights from other games that have filmed on their behalf.

“BARLA are pleased and excited about this new venture and hope that all rugby league fans of the amateur game will give the channel a try," said Steve Manning, vice chairman of BARLA.

"There is a lot of unseen material by a large number of people which deserves to go out to a wider audience.

“I am sure that the game will bring back some great memories."
